CHHR Activities

CHHR works to provide health information to the Harlem community in a number of ways. Our signature event is a Health Revival Week at the end of September. Stay tuned for upcoming events!

Sept. 21 - CHHR Worship Service

Church of St. Charles Borromeo and Resurrection Chapel

211 W. 141st Street

On the Wednesday evening before the Walk and Fair, join us for a worship service where an interfaith group of faith leaders will pray for some of the diseases rampant in the Harlem community including diabetes, heart disease, cancer, asthma, youth & violence, and HIV/AIDS & substance abuse. The service will also feature musical selections and a message.

Sept. 25 - CHHR Walk & Health Festival

For the past 10 years, CHHR has  galvanized hundreds of people to support a healthier Harlem community through our annual Health Walk and Festival.

The Walk will begin at 2 p.m. at 126th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.  We will walk north on the boulevard to 145th St., make a left at 145th Street and continue west on 145th St.  The walk will end at Riverbank State Park with the Health Festival where there will be fitness classes, health screenings, health information, and live entertainment.
